The terms for using KeepHold
Last updated: September 12, 2026
By downloading, installing, or using KeepHold, you agree to these terms. Please read them before you get started.
1. Who you're agreeing with
KeepHold is currently operated by Gael Tam ("we," "us"), an individual doing business as KeepHold, pending formation of a dedicated LLC (The Gaëlo Outcome, LLC). These terms will transfer to that entity once it's formed, with no change to your rights under them.
2. What KeepHold is
KeepHold is a home inventory app that helps you log items you own, attach photos and receipts, track warranties and insurance details, receive maintenance and recall alerts, look up owner's manuals, and generate reports of your inventory.
3. Your account
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure.
- You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use KeepHold.
4. Households and shared data
KeepHold lets multiple people share one household's inventory. If you invite others to your household, you're choosing to share the items, photos, and details in that household with them. Anyone in a household can view items other members have added. Removing a member does not retroactively delete items they contributed.
5. Subscriptions & billing
- KeepHold offers a free tier and a paid subscription tier with additional features.
- Subscriptions are billed and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your device. Auto-renewal, cancellation, and refund requests are handled through your app store account, not through us — we don't have the ability to issue refunds directly.
- Prices and included features may change; we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes before they take effect for existing subscribers.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use KeepHold for anything illegal or to store content you don't have the right to store.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the app or its backend services.
- Abuse the AI photo-scanning or manual-lookup features in a way designed to overload or misuse those services (for example, automated or bulk requests unrelated to normal personal use).
- Impersonate another person or misuse household-sharing to access someone else's inventory without their consent.
7. Accuracy of AI-assisted & looked-up information
Features like AI photo scanning and owner's-manual lookup use third-party services to generate or find information automatically. This information can be incomplete or wrong. You're responsible for verifying anything important — especially details used for insurance, warranty claims, or safety recalls — before relying on it.
8. Intellectual property
KeepHold, its logo, and its app design are owned by us. You retain ownership of the content you add (item details, photos, notes) — by using the app, you grant us the limited right to store, process, and display that content back to you and your household as needed to run the service.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
KeepHold is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any AI-generated or looked-up information will be accurate or complete.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of KeepHold, including loss of data, loss of a warranty or insurance claim, or reliance on inaccurate AI-generated or looked-up information. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
11. Termination
You can stop using KeepHold and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of KeepHold after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
